KG 1 A - Activities

Full and Empty

Young children are introduced to pre-mathematics concepts as it helps the young minds ot explore and develop an understanding of the world around them. The children rightly differentiated the containers which were full from the ones that were empty. They were asked to fill the empty containers with objects given and leave the others empty. The activity was a fun-filled learning experience for the little ones.

Letter A Sorting

This letter sorting activity is a no-mess activity that helps to develop the child's ability to recognize both the upper and lowercase forms of letters. By sorting and matching things, the child develops visual and perceptual skills along with analyzing and memory skills. These important brain skills help with attention. Children sorted the letters as upper case and lower case by pasting the letters in the allotted space.

Story Narration

Stories take us to the world of imagination. When the stories are narrated to the children in the form of role play, the children are able to relate better to life situations. The creative aspect of the child is kindled and the children express themselves in innovative ways. The story of the Capseller and the Monkeys was narrated to the students and the bright young minds enacted the story with their teachers.

Same and Different

The pre-math concept of Same and Different was introduced to KG 1 students. They had to find objects which were same as the one given to them and objects which were different from the one given to them. The children used rings and set out to find the objects as per the instructions given to them. Through this, a strong foundation has been laid out for the students to work on a higher level Math concept.
